Community Education

100 % of the population will be affected at some time in their life by the death of a relative, friend or co-worker. Hospice of the Upstate is providing education and support to those who are experiencing grief and loss as well as people who care about the bereaved. Through community education we endeavor to empower businesses, churches, schools and individuals to support employees, coworkers, students and friends in their time of grief.

Community education and awareness is offered by the staff and volunteers of Hospice of the Upstate.  Presentations include a variety of topics such as Advance Care Planning, Grief and Loss, Caregiver Support, Grief in the Workplace, School or Church. Presentations can be tailored by length and content to fit the needs of the organization. There is no fee for presentations although donations are accepted.

Please contact Pam Cox, Community Education Coordinator at 328-1949 or pcox@hospicehouse.net  to schedule a program.
