Children need an opportunity to express their
grief in their own way in their own time.
Many times children who have experienced the
death of a loved one feel isolated from their
peers and alone in their grief. Through art, play, music, and peer support
they are given an opportunity to share their feelings and open up in an
environment that is welcoming
and understanding of their loss.

Dragonfly
Club ages 5-12,
meets 3:15- 4:00 Wednesdays, Sadler Center
This group gives
children a chance to meet others who are going through similar situations.
I like to meet with the child individually if possible before their first
visit to the group. This gives us a chance to get to know one another
before the child attends and prepares the child for group. An individual
session can be arranged by calling Lauren Bishop, Children’s Outreach
Specialist at Hospice of the Upstate, at Ext. 3132.
